On Thursday 30th June, Queen Vic took 9 pupils from Years 3 and 4 to represent the school in the Dudley Schools Year 3 and 4 Cricket competition at Stourbridge Cricket Club.
There were 6 schools taking part, Queen Victoria, Christchurch, Brook Primary, Blowers Green, Netherton and Netherbrook.
The games were for teams of 8, everyone had to bowl an 'over' which was 5 balls. The children batted in pairs and swapped over every 2 overs. Each school played everyone else.
Queen Victoria managed to come joint 4th, defeating Christchurch and Brook Primary on the day.
The children (Emily 3A, Harry 3M, Chaise 3M, Emily 3M, Rylee 4A, Evie-Jai 4H, Oghosa 4H, Jamie 4M, and Emily 4A) were a credit to the school, they shook hands with each of the schools after each match and behaved wonderfully. Thanks to Mrs Graham for attending as our first aider for the day.
