Thank you to everyone who came to school with crazy hair, odd socks or uniform backwards on Friday to raise money to support Red Nose Day 2019.
Year 2 are focusing on 'Wriggle and Crawl' this term, learning about mini-beasts. Our Stunning Start was "bring your own mini-beast to school" on Friday 9th March. Children brought mini-beasts that they had sketched or made from junk materials.
On Thursday 7th March, we celebrated World Book Day at school. As part of the celebrations, children and staff dressed up as fictional characters from a their favourite book. It was fantastic to see the costumes created.
On the morning of February 28th children walked into their classrooms to find tables overturned, pencils scattered across the floor and huge footprints in the classroom.
On Wednesday 13th February, Queen Vic tag rugby team competed in a Dudley schools competition at the Link Academy in Netherton.
On Friday 8th February, Queen Vic took part in the Premier League Primary Stars Tournament 2018/19 at the city of Wolverhampton College.
Year One took part in lots of creative activities to learn about Chinese New Year.
On Friday 2nd February, Mrs Brown and Mrs Best took four very nervous year 6 children to take part in the Dudley Citizenship Debate at Dudley Council Chambers.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped us raise money for Children in Need 2018. We had an amazing day dressing up in colourful clothes and buying delicious Pudsey biscuits and cakes.
During the remembrance service today, Mrs Walker and Mrs Hall talked to the children about ‘remembrance’, and why many people wear poppies as November 11th draws near. The poppy is a sign of remembrance, it shows we have not forgotten those who sacrificed their lives for us during the wars.
