At Queen Victoria Primary School, we understand the importance of supporting our families and the vital role they play in a child’s education and development. We are committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
School-based Family Support
Our school-based Family Support Worker, Mrs. Farmer, is available to work with families and provide guidance, advice, and practical assistance. Mrs. Farmer takes a friendly, non-judgemental approach, and welcomes drop-ins from 8:30am-9am and 3:30pm-4:00pm. Appointments can be booked by contacting the school office.

Signposting to External Agencies
In addition to the support we offer in-house, we also work closely with a range of external agencies to ensure our families have access to the resources and services they need. This includes referrals to Early Help, which provides tailored support for families facing a variety of challenges.
Our CARE Principles in Action
At the heart of our approach to family support is our school's CARE principles: Children are at the heart: We prioritise the needs and well-being of our children, and this extends to supporting their families to create the best possible conditions for learning and growth. Aspiration: We have high expectations for all our children and their families, and we work together to help them achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Responsible: By offering family support, we aim to empower parents and carers to become active and responsible members of our school community, contributing to the success of our children. Excellence: Our commitment to excellence in education includes ensuring our families have access to the resources and support they need to thrive. If you would like to learn more about the family support available at Queen Victoria Primary School, please don't hesitate to contact the school office.
