The school kitchen is pleased to provide good quality food, cooked on site, to our children.

All children in Reception, Year One and Year Two receive a daily free lunch and we like to encourage every child to take up this option.  In addition to the meal your child can have a drink of milk as well as water being available on tables.

Children in Years Three, Four, Five and Six the cost for per day will be £2.40.

Is your child entitled to Free School Meals?

If you get any of the following support payments, your child may be entitled to receive free school meals:

  • Universal Credit (you must have less than £616.67 a month net earned income (after tax – and not including any benefits)
  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit Run-on – paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit

Please note: Children who receive a qualifying benefit in their own right are also allowed to receive free school meals.

If your application for Free School Meals is successful, it will not only allow your child to claim a free hot lunch daily, but will also increase the amount of funding the school is entitled to. We therefore ask you to apply, even if your child is currently in receipt of Universal Free School Meals (Reception-Year 2) or if your child brings a packed lunch to school.

A tuck shop is open every day at morning break selling healthy snacks and drinks.  This is only available to Years 3-6.
